GIS Specialist

We are seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead complex geospatial projects, develop innovative GIS solutions, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.

• Design and implement sophisticated GIS databases and spatial analysis models
• BIM & GIS intergration
• Conduct advanced spatial analysis and data modelling to support decision-making processes
• Develop and maintain GIS applications and tools to streamline workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into GIS solutions
• Manage and mentor junior GIS professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and methodologies, recommending improvements to existing processes
• Provide technical expertise and support for organisation-wide GIS initiatives
• Prepare and present detailed reports and maps for various audiences

• Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
• Professional GIS certification (e.g., GISP) is highly desirable
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in GIS applications and spatial analysis
• Advanced proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS and QGIS
• Strong skills in spatial analysis, data modelling, and cartography
• Expertise in remote sensing and image processing techniques
• Proficient in database management using SQL
• Programming experience in Python, R, or other relevant languages
• Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Domain expertise in urban planning, environmental management, or natural resource management is advantageous
• Willingness to travel within India as required for project work
