Job Summary

We are hiring a senior fullstack engineer to lead the effort of bringing Greenlight's core functionality to the web. This high-impact role focuses on delivering world-class web experiences by translating mobile features to web while shaping the technical vision for a horizontal web platform.

You will drive product innovation, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers across the team. The role centers on modern frontend technologies (React, , TypeScript) while owning backend services and platform reliability to ensure scalable, observable web products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of web experiences that translate mobile features to the web with world-class UX
  • Define and drive the technical strategy and vision for the web platform
  • Establish and evangelize engineering standards, best practices, and developer workflows
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers across frontend and backend
  • Design, modify, and develop backend services that power web products
  • Manage technical debt and lead architectural evolution of the platform
  • Champion code quality through testing, reviews, and CI/CD practices
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and observability for web services
  • Integrate testing and automation (unit, integration, end-to-end) into the delivery process
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of software development experience with a track record of technical leadership
  • Deep expertise in React and (Remix experience also required)
  • Strong experience with TypeScript for frontend and backend development
  • Proven experience building REST APIs and backend services using and Express; experience with Kotlin for backend services
  • Experience with modern build tools and monorepos (e.g., Turborepo)
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, React Testing Library, Jest)
  • Experience designing for scalability, reliability, and observability
  • Experience with gRPC and REST API patterns
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) for deploying and operating services
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
    • Familiarity with modern MarTech and analytics tools such as Segment, Optimizely, Mixpanel, or Amplitude
