Our client, Voleon Capital Management, is looking for a Global IP Program Manager.

As a Global IP Program Manager within the Program Management Office (PMO), you will play a key role in the strategic coordination of research and engineering initiatives that support our global intellectual property (IP) and innovation programs. You'll work with cross-functional technical teams and senior project managers to help organize project execution, track deliverables, and ensure alignment across our distributed R&D organization.

This position, based in our Puerto Rico office, offers an exciting opportunity to develop your program management skills in a global, technical environment. You'll be mentored and coached by senior members of the PMO as you grow into a leadership role within our international R&D operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate global IP and R&D projects, ensuring clear communication, timeline tracking, and milestone completion across regions and teams.
  • Support senior PMO members in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and status updates for leadership.
  • Facilitate collaboration between research, engineering, and operations teams, documenting decisions, requirements, and progress.
  • Contribute to process improvements, helping design and refine templates, tools, and reporting mechanisms that enhance project visibility and consistency.
  • Assist in tracking IP development workflows, including idea submission, evaluation, and progress through internal review stages.
  • Help monitor project metrics, risks, and dependencies to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support Agile practices, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, and promote clear accountability across distributed teams.
  • Collaborate on resourcing and onboarding for offshore and partner teams involved in global R&D and IP development.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of total work experience and at least 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, technical operations, or an equivalent program support role.
  • Professional exposure to engineering, research, or innovative programs preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and in distributed team environments.
  • Interest in developing program management and Agile delivery skills through mentorship and hands-on learning.
