Context for the new role
One of the strategic focus for VIL is to take meaningful proposition to our captive audience and offer them propositions that enables them to thrive. To this effect, we are building a line of business Vi Finance to offer Financial services & payments proposition. This will work under a partnership model, wherein we will bring in credible players in the space of lending and investments to offer Personal loan, Credit cards, Fixed deposits etc. to our customers.
Given this is a priority, there is a need to get a techno commercial individual leading this agenda for us.
Proposal
We propose to bring on board a category lead for managing the financial services & payments business.
The primary responsibility of this individual would be to manage and scale this business for us. This would mean that the incumbent will have to recruit partners across every category, evolve the user experience, drive the GTM, keep sharing market insights with the leadership, recommend a future roadmap and grow the portfolio as per annual operational plan.
The key metric that this role is expected to deliver is – incremental revenue, scale adoption and keep pace with best in class Apps competing in this space.
Job purpose
Own & drive Vi finance & payments portfolio. Create right experience as per the needs of the customer and deliver incremental revenue for the organization as per the business plan.
Key Result Areas / Accountabilities
Product and Growth
- Own the end-to-end vision and roadmap for Vi finance category, i.E. Personal loans, Credit cards, Fixed deposits etc.
- Lead "Zero to One" initiatives to conceptualize and launch new products in the category, ensuring successful Go-to-Market (GTM) execution.
- Utilize analytics-driven decision-making, customer segmentation, and funnel improvement strategies to scale user adoption, transactions and disbursements
- Take full ownership of driving significant revenue growth and GMV expansion across payment and Other mobile recharge categories.
- Develop and implement sales strategies across digital and physical retail touchpoints.
- Drive Utility Payments like Electricity, Gas bills, Credit card bill payments, Fastag recharges, other mobile operator recharges etc.
New Partnerships & Business Development:
Drive strategic partnerships with credible players in Financial services & Payments ecosystem. On-board partners, facilitate product teams to create compelling offers, facilitate GTM execution, drive & deliver incremental revenue through the agenda.
Other tasks
- Drive the delivery of platform and journeys as per the blue-print
- Run performance campaigns and drive adoption
- Work with the technology teams to create and operate the Financial services offering
- Work with the Digital Team to set-up consumer journeys, points of ingress from various customer journeys across digital channels – Own digital assets, Partners ecosystem, etc (wherever applicable)
- Manage key stakeholders at various levels and lead large CFTs to deliver desirable outcomes
- Create & drive the GTM for financial services & payments portfolio - comms elements, outreach through various channels, integration with CVM, social connect.
- Work with the prepaid & postpaid product & CVM teams to identify opportunities for embedding with core products / journeys / campaigns
- Manage top & bottom of the funnel – drive traffic, improve conversions. Work with partners to create exclusive offers
- Monitor performance, take necessary course correction, deliver on the target revenue, manage NPS
