Govt. Technician/ Engineering Executive @ West

Salary & Benefits

• Technician: $2,000 - $7,000 (Based on Experience and Qualifications)
• Shift Allowance: $350/month
• Mid-Year Bonus
• Yearly Variable Bonus: 1-2 months' salary
• Shift Work (12 hours)
• Rotating Shift (5 rest day within 15 working days)
• Contract: 1-year with the possibility of extension
• Additional Perks: Company shuttle bus provided

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of technical specialists, coordinating maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections for the safe and efficient operation of the waste-to-energy facility.
• Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical and control equipment, including turbo-generators, motors, and switchgears.
• Administer contracts for mechanical and building services equipment operations and maintenance.
• Enforce a permit-to-work system and promote a culture of safety, supervising contractors to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Assist in creating standard operating procedures and equipment testing/changeover programs.
• Be prepared to perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance operational excellence.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering or Nitec in Engineering.
• Diploma Holders: Preferably 3 years of relevant experience.
• Nitec Holders: Preferably 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: Preference for candidates with professional certifications such as Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, or Workplace Safety Health Officer.
• Strong technical background with excellent analytical skills; knowledge of solid waste management is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Navisworks and Primavera P6 is a plus.
