This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support students across K-12 grades in a dynamic school setting in Gastonia, NC. The role involves working within self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms, providing tailored instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Qualified candidates will hold an active state teaching license and possess experience with elementary through high school grade levels, specifically grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The contract runs from January 2026 through June 2026, offering a consistent work schedule of five days per week, with 30 to 37.5 hours weekly. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for special education students. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet varying abilities and learning styles. Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel to enhance student success. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of students.
