As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons using pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and support students to remain focused on learning. No lesson planning is required.

Secondary schools in Sunderland are seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to provide classroom supervision during teacher absence. This Graduate Cover Supervisor role is well suited to graduates looking to gain front-of-class experience in a secondary school setting.

Key responsibilities:


  • Supervising whole classes across different subjects
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Reporting student progress or concerns to teaching staff

  • A degree in any subject
  • Experience with young people is preferred but not essential
