Graduate Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land – Brisbane

We are an environmental consultancy backed by Montrose Environmental. Our Brisbane office seeks a graduate scientist with 0–1 years’ experience to join our Contaminated Land Team.

Core Tasks

• Field investigation and data gathering on a variety of projects including renewable projects, critical state significant infrastructure projects, property due diligence investigations, transport and defence sites, and remediation projects.
• Data interpretation and data analysis.
• Contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.
• Continuous professional development including career coaching and the opportunity to mentor junior team members.
• Developing soft skills and core professional skills as a graduate in the workforce.

What You Will Bring

• Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution (science or engineering).
• 0–1 years’ experience in an environmental consulting role, ideally within contaminated land.
• An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn new skills and soak up knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• The ability to collaborate in a team environment and self‑motivate.
• The ability to take ownership of and be accountable for the delivery of tasks and projects.
• Interest in supporting key aspects of project management and administration, as well as subcontractor and HSE management.
• Interest and ability to travel to various locations and work outside on diverse and interesting project sites.

Opportunity to travel to various project locations throughout Queensland and interstate (particularly NSW, SA, NT and WA).
