Job details A Grinder operates manual or power-assisted grinding machines to shape, finish, polish metal or composite parts according to, engineering specifications. They ensure work pieces conform to quality standards by interpreting blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and removing defects.
Responsibilities:
*Move parts into the grind shop ... *Check and record job numbers on work sheet
*Grind parts
*Gauge end groove on all sleeves
*Gauge all risers
*Gind smooth clean parts
*Stamp all required numbers
*Get areas patched as needed
*Keep grinders clean and oiled
*Keep the grind shop area clean
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Skills:
Must have the ability to lift 50-60 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to work in a typical shop environment with varying conditions of cold, heat/humidity, noise, etc.
Any other duties as required by their supervisor.
