Grocery Manager

PURPOSE:

Grocery Manager directs the operation of the Grocery Department (including Frozen, Dairy & 

Liquor/Beer), including supervising and training personnel. Manages ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking and

Merchandising in the department. May direct and control the operation of the entire store in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Champions Company and Division customer service programs to meet or exceed Division customer service goals. Handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints. Promotes Albertson’s/Safeway’s philosophy of personalized service.
