An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong Group Accountant to join Nova Systems in a broad, hands-on role. This position suits someone who enjoys working across all areas of accounting, from transactions through to month end to being a financial accounting advisor across our global business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting functions while also driving process improvements and contributing to finance transformation initiatives.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Adelaide, offering flexibility with a mix of office and remote work.
What You’ll Be Involved With
Manage and perform the group consolidation processes including overhead allocations, intercompany reconciliations and intercompany loan managementManage and perform monthly and annual accounting activities to deliver accurate financial results and statutory financial statementsPartner with the Operating Business to provide accounting determinations in compliance with accounting standardsEstablish, develop and implement effective internal accounting controls to ensure the maintenance of a common information baseLead the development, maintenance and review of financial accounting policies and reporting processes in line with statutory and corporate requirements. Participate in Finance and ERP implementations, including development, testing, training, and support of best practice accounting processesWhat We Would Like From You
Tertiary qualifications in an accounting discipline and professional qualifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent) Demonstrated experience in group accounting and corporate financial accounting roles Experience with consolidation processes and financial reporting Strong understanding and knowledge of key accounting concepts and processes, and IFRS or Australian accounting standards Experience with ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, Power BI or equivalent Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Experience managing and leading a team in junior to middle management positions.
