The role
We are seeking an energised Financial Controller to support our high growth fintech organisation, and join the capable and fun team. The Group Financial Controller will be a key member of the finance team and wider management group, driving our business in the achievement of its strategic plan and exciting growth trajectory.
As well as taking responsibility for the financial control and reporting processes for the listed business you will take charge of the incoming ERP system, a key project for improving the reporting processes and creating timely and insightful reports to further enable strategic decision making.
This is a role for an experienced and qualified accountant to take on a leadership position in driving accurate and insightful financial control and reporting, as well as driving impactful change in a growing organisation and its Management Information Systems.
As a retail lender, the role requires demonstrated knowledge of accounting for financial products such as principle and interest loans within a AASB 9 framework.
What you'll be working with
- MYOB and Acumatica financial reporting system
- ASX listed business and reporting framework
- A capable finance team with two direct reports and one indirect report
- A dynamic business and collaborative fintech team with a strong drive to succeed
What you'll do
- Manage the delivery of internal and external financial reporting
- Lead the implementation of new ERP system to unlock improved control, insight and reporting of our financial and qualitative data
- Support finance team members professional development
- Maintain and enhance internal processes to ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- University degree in business, accounting, or finance.
- CPA, CIMA or CA qualified.
- Minimum 5 years' post‑qualification experience in a related role.
- Exposure to technology, financial services or other consumer‑oriented business would be ideal.
- Knowledge of financial products businesses and AASB 9 control and reporting requirements.
- Must hold current Australian work rights for this position.
