Location: Caribbean - This is an international role requiring full-time relocation.
The RoleAn established international hospitality group in the Caribbean is seeking an accomplished Group Financial Controller to lead the group’s financial strategy, governance, and systems across a portfolio of luxury properties.
This senior leadership position has responsibility for group-wide financial planning, reporting, forecasting, compliance, and treasury management, along with strategic oversight of the IT function. The successful candidate will work closely with the COO, CEO, General Managers, and finance teams to drive financial performance, safeguard group assets, and support continued growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee consolidated financial reporting across all group entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Lead monthly and annual reporting cycles, providing clear insights, variance analysis, and performance commentary.
- Monitor financial performance across the portfolio and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and manage rolling forecasts.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and statutory filings across the group.
- Enforce confidentiality, data protection, and information security standards.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership and the board.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, capital investments, and development projects.
- Drive group-wide cost management and revenue enhancement initiatives.
- Oversee treasury activities, including banking relationships, financing arrangements, and cash flow optimization.
- Serve as Corporate Secretary for the group and its subsidiaries.
- Prepare and maintain board and committee materials, minutes, resolutions, and statutory records.
- Support strong governance practices and ensure compliance with fiduciary and statutory obligations.
- Coordinate legal matters and act as a key liaison with external counsel and advisors.
- Provide strategic oversight of the group’s IT function through the IT Manager.
- Ensure technology platforms are aligned with business strategy and operational requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of secure, efficient, and scalable enterprise systems.
- Oversee cybersecurity, data integrity, and systems compliance across the group.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Finance and IT teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement effective succession planning, training, and performance management frameworks.

- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a recognized professional accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CGA, or equivalent ) required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within hospitality or a multi‑entity organization.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex budgets, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working closely with boards and executive leadership teams.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced, and multicultural environment.
The remuneration package includes base salary, medical insurance, company‑provided accommodation (including utilities), a meal allowance, annual airfare, and a performance‑based bonus.
