Group Manager - Actuarials-REF90079V - Prophet Modeler

The Group Manager will be responsible for delivering Prophet modeling initiatives using Prophet, ensuring robust risk management and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves model development, testing, governance, and reporting for valuation related actuarial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Prophet models to support valuation activities.
• Interpret data, assumptions, application codes, and model outputs, providing validation and clear explanations.
• Review outputs prepared by the team and ensure accuracy through thorough documentation.
• Conduct results analysis, including variance, scenario, and sensitivity testing, to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Prophet is plus, or any other actuarial software (GGY Axis, MG ALFHA etc.,) and modeling techniques.
• Understanding of life insurance products and actuarial principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and familiarity with SQL or Python for data handling is plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

·         6-8 years of work experience in actuarial modeling.

·         Graduate or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics.

·         Minimum 6 actuarial exams from IAI or IFoA.

·         Broad understanding of model development, valuation, and multiple lines of businesses in Life Insurance.

Degree in actuarial science, maths, stats, commerce with Minimum of 6 actuarial exam passed.
