Position Overview

Reporting to the Group CFO, the Group Procurement Manager will lead the development and execution of Ahrens’ Group-wide procurement strategy. This is a commercially critical role focused on cost optimisation, risk management, supplier performance, and procurement process improvement across the business.

You will drive sourcing decisions that deliver measurable financial outcomes, strengthen supplier partnerships, mitigate supply chain risk, and ensure the business has the tools and visibility to manage procurement spend efficiently.

The role also plays a key part in embedding Group-wide procurement systems and governance across ERP, reporting dashboards, and divisional operations.

Skills and Experience

Ahrens is seeking an experienced and commercially astute procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, and supply chain resilience across a diverse national and international footprint.

The successful candidate must have:

· Proven experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or a related discipline

· Proven track record in procurement management roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors

· Strong expertise in commercial negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract law

· Demonstrated success leading procurement transformation and delivering cost and operational efficiencies

· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional activities

· Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement reporting tools, including spend tracking and dashboard integration
