  • About The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, our Group Tax Accountant will oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance, reporting and advisory for the Micromine Group. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance, optimising tax efficiency and supporting our evolving business needs. This is your chance to:

  • Lead Australian tax compliance and reporting, including income tax, GST, FBT, consolidated groups, BAS, PAYG and tax effect accounting.
  • Manage transfer pricing strategy, documentation, intercompany processes and support cash repatriation activities.
  • Oversee tax governance, audits, risk controls, and relationships with external advisors, auditors and tax authorities.
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities and contribute to system upgrades impacting tax reporting.
  • Provide tax advice to stakeholders, support global tax compliance across regions and assist with R&D claims and M&A tax due diligence.
  • About You

    You are a technically strong and commercially savvy tax professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring excellent analytical skills, sharp attention to detail and the ability to explain complex concepts with clarity. Other requirements are:

  • 4+ years’ experience in public practice (Big 4 or mid-tier) and/or commercial roles with international operations.
  • Strong technical expertise in Australian corporate tax, including international tax, consolidated groups, GST groups and transfer pricing.
  • Skilled in tax effect accounting, financial statement disclosures and working with large data sets using advanced Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CA/CPA or Masters of Tax (desirable), with a continuous learning mindset and interest in digital tax transformation.
