Growth & Client Strategy Lead - Architecture – South Asia (Mumbai preferred)

Architectural client looking for a senior door opener, not a traditional BD profile.

This role sits at the front of large residential and mixed-use projects, well before RFPs, decks, or fee discussions. You will operate in rooms where land, capital, risk, and timing are being decided. The brief is simple: open the right doors, shape early conversations, and position our client as a strategic design partner for projects at scale.

This is a senior-facing role. You will work directly with top-tier developers, landowners, and capital partners across India and South Asia, building long-term influence rather than chasing tenders. International credibility matters. Mumbai market access matters. Judgement matters most.

What you will do

• Originate large-scale residential and mixed-use opportunities before formal procurement.
• Build senior developer relationships and maintain them over multi-year cycles.
• Lead high-level conversations around density, value, phasing, and risk, not just design.
• Position global work in a way that resonates locally.
• Work closely with design leadership to shape early strategy and project direction.
• Filter opportunities hard and focus time only on projects that will convert.
• Support the Country Head with real market intelligence, not CRM noise.

What you bring

• 8–12 years in architecture, design, or development-related roles.
• Proven access to senior developers in Mumbai and major Indian cities.
• International experience with a respected global firm or major projects.
• Credibility to operate peer-to-peer with decision makers.
• Strong commercial judgement around project viability and timing.
• Comfort working independently with minimal structure.
• Ability to open doors, hold the room, and keep influence over long cycles.

This role suits someone who has outgrown transactional business development and wants to operate at the front end of city-making projects.
