We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate - F&B Service to join our team in Mumbai, India. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, demonstrating thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to established service standards
- Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, service stations, and equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Process payments accurately and handle cash transactions with attention to detail
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality and product knowledge
- Adapt to changing customer demands and peak service periods with flexibility and efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on anticipating and meeting guest needs
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Certification from a reputable culinary or hospitality school is a plus
- Familiarity with local cuisine and international food trends is advantageous
