Job Description

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive hardware lifecycle management strategy, with the goal of maximizing value, minimizing risk, and minimizing cost.

  • Hardware Lifecycle Management: Manage the planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, administration, and disposal of hardware.

  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate and oversee contracting process for all major hardware purchases.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Work with relevant DigitalX teams to ensure hardware meets Astellas’ all guidelines and policies.

  • Tools and Processes: Own and manage the Hardware Asset Management tools used for managing the hardware lifecycle and reporting.

  • Software/Hardware Store: Work closely with End User Computing, Software Asset Management, and other DigitalX teams to create and manage a user-friendly internal software/hardware “store” which allows end users to easily obtain standard software/hardware products.

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of hardware lifecycle management processes and drive improvements.
    • Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of technology asset management experience, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.

  • Detailed understanding of IT hardware devices, purchasing arrangements, and contracts.

  • Strong understanding of hardware standards.

  • Strong understanding and extensive experience with ServiceNow HAM and HAM Pro, including implementation, configuration, integration, etc.

  • Demonstrable track record in delivering cost optimization in the hardware asset management space.
