About the Role

Willware Technologies is seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our automotive electronics team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design and development of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) , focusing on low-voltage power electronics, schematic and PCB design, functional safety, and hardware validation for automotive applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).

• Willingness to travel 5-10% to external test labs or customer sites.

Required Experience & Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive hardware design and PCB layout .

• Strong experience in ECU electronics , preferably in powertrain or chassis systems .

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Low-voltage power electronics (DC-DC, regulators, power circuits)

  • Schematic design, PCB layout, BOM & component selection

  • Design simulations and calculations

  • Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA)

• Good understanding of functional safety processes (FTA, FMEDA, ISO 26262 concepts) .

• Experience with ECAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Cadence Allegro .

• Knowledge of automotive development lifecycle and V-Model .

• Strong debugging, validation, and EMI/EMC testing experience.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills .

• Self-driven engineer who can take ownership of hardware designs .
