The Controls Hardware Engineer is responsible for providing controls hardware engineering design and support to the project team that delivers 'turnkey' custom automation equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Lead meetings with customers and project managers to understand project requirements.
+ Design electrical and pneumatic controls utilizing AutoCAD Electrical for drawing development.
+ Develop a bill of controls materials and seek cost estimates for the purchasing department, working with project management to ensure timely ordering of parts.
+ Design interconnections of peripheral hardware such as servo motors, vision systems, robots, leak test systems, and data collection systems, requiring knowledge of network communications.
+ Collaborate closely with the controls build department on equipment wiring and plumbing.
