Hardware Electrical Engineer

Overview

Aplin has partnered with a leader in the defense industry to hire a Hardware Electrical Engineer. You will support the engineering team by helping turn customer requirements into effective cabling and interconnect solutions. This role focuses on interpreting electrical schematics, creating system interconnect diagrams, and developing cable and harness designs used in complex systems. This role is a one year renewable contract position that requires 2-3 days onsite a week in Kanata, ON.

Key Responsibilities

• Design cable and harness solutions that meet defined technical requirements
• Apply relevant interconnect design and fabrication standards
• Create power, system block, and wiring diagrams
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, tolerances, and industry symbols
