Job Title: Hardware Engineer (Embedded – Fire Detection Systems)
Experience: 4–6 Years

Role Overview
The Hardware Engineer will work closely with the Embedded Hardware Lead and take ownership of end‑to‑end hardware design, development, and testing for Fire Detection System products. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with analog, digital, RF circuits , embedded systems, and multilayer PCB design.
Key Responsibilities
- Own hardware design and verification activities for embedded products.
- Work on analog, digital, and RF circuit design, testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: Analog, Digital, RF, Mechanical, PCB Layout, Software, and PV\&V.
- Design and develop microcontroller/microprocessor‑based embedded hardware.
- Drive multilayer PCB design processes, reviews, design best practices, and error reduction.
- Create schematics, layouts, and documentation using Altium Designer .
- Troubleshoot and resolve DFM issues and support component second‑sourcing.
- Build test jigs and programming fixtures for product development.
- Perform competitor product analysis, including performance benchmarking and BOM cost studies.
- Execute system‑level and prototype testing; collect and analyze data.
- Use oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other lab tools for debugging.
- Conduct DFMEA, DFM, DFT, VA/VE, failure and root‑cause analysis.
- Support product compliance activities: IEC, CE, FCC, UL standards.
- Prepare technical documents, reports, and presentations.
- Evaluate hardware/software compatibility and recommend specifications.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of hardware development practices, design techniques, and embedded systems.
- Experience in 32-bit microcontroller-based designs : ARM (STM), PIC32, etc.
- High‑density PCB design with mixed-signal circuits and peripherals (Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN).
- Power supply design: DC‑DC converters, SMPS (Flyback, PFC, LLC), LDOs .
- Experience with sensors, transducers, relays, and their MCU interfaces.
- HMI interfaces: LCD, TFT, OLED, resistive/capacitive touch .
- Hands-on experience with Spice simulations , signal integrity, stress & power analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and working closely with production teams.
- Advantage: Exposure to Fire Detection Systems or similar safety-critical hardware.

Qualifications
- BE/BTech in Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in hardware product design and development
