We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join our team in a field service capacity, supporting site operations across a variety of plant and equipment. This role suits a proactive tradesperson who is confident working independently, conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs in the field.
The Role
- FIFO 2:1 roster available
- Solo field service role conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs
- Liaise closely with site teams to determine job priorities
- Coordinate parts and repairs with our Perth-based Parts Interpreters via SharePoint
- Maintain clear communication and accurate job reporting
- Field service ute, tooling, and support provided
Equipment You Will Work On
- Excavators
- Crane borers
- VLCs
- Hydraulic winches
- Trailer-mounted reclaimers
- Trucks and various mobile plant
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant Australian-recognised Trade Certificate
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic
- Strong experience in breakdowns and fault finding
- HR unrestricted licence (essential)
- Air-conditioning (ARCtick) licence
- Mobile plant and truck experience
- Broad exposure to Japanese, American, and European trucks
- Hydraulics experience highly desirable
- Drill fitting experience highly desirable
- Full Australian working rights
