We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join our team in a field service capacity, supporting site operations across a variety of plant and equipment. This role suits a proactive tradesperson who is confident working independently, conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs in the field.

The Role

  • FIFO 2:1 roster available
  • Solo field service role conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Liaise closely with site teams to determine job priorities
  • Coordinate parts and repairs with our Perth-based Parts Interpreters via SharePoint
  • Maintain clear communication and accurate job reporting
  • Field service ute, tooling, and support provided

Equipment You Will Work On

  • Excavators
  • Crane borers
  • VLCs
  • Hydraulic winches
  • Trailer-mounted reclaimers
  • Trucks and various mobile plant

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant Australian-recognised Trade Certificate
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic
  • Strong experience in breakdowns and fault finding
  • HR unrestricted licence (essential)
  • Air-conditioning (ARCtick) licence
  • Mobile plant and truck experience
  • Broad exposure to Japanese, American, and European trucks
  • Hydraulics experience highly desirable
  • Drill fitting experience highly desirable
  • Full Australian working rights
