Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader to lead our Business Development Group (BDG). This role is pivotal in driving sales by overseeing inside sales operations, managing lead generation efforts, and aligning sales strategies with broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Business Development Group (BDG) focused on inside sales and outbound demand generation.
- Develop and execute inside sales strategies that align with company objectives and generate consistent, high-quality pipeline growth.
- Establish clear KPIs, performance goals, and accountability measures for the BDG team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and field sales teams to design integrated campaigns and outbound initiatives.
- Analyse key sales metrics and funnel data to uncover performance gaps and optimize conversion efficiency.
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales managers and individual contributors to drive productivity and career advancement.
- Implement and continuously improve lead qualification frameworks to boost conversion rates and shorten sales cycles.
- Leverage CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales enablement tools to maintain data integrity and enhance team performance.
- Deliver regular pipeline forecasts, performance reporting, and strategic updates to executive leadership.
- Champion best practices in inside sales methodology, tools, and operational processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of sales experience, with 5–8 years in inside sales leadership roles in IT services organizations.
- Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and optimizing high-performing inside sales or business development teams.
- Deep understanding of CRM systems and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot, Outreach).
- Outstanding leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and adapt tactically in a dynamic environment.
