Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food
- Plan, develop, and update menus in line with the restaurant's concept and budget
- Ensure all dishes meet presentation, taste, and quality standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating during service
- Control food costs, wastage, and portion sizes to meet GP targets
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and SFA regulations
- Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
- Create staff schedules and manage kitchen labour costs
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and equipment upkeep
- Handle customer feedback and resolve kitchen-related issues
- Collaborate with management on promotions, seasonal menus, and events
