Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food
  • Plan, develop, and update menus in line with the restaurant's concept and budget
  • Ensure all dishes meet presentation, taste, and quality standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating during service
  • Control food costs, wastage, and portion sizes to meet GP targets
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and SFA regulations
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
  • Create staff schedules and manage kitchen labour costs
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and equipment upkeep
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve kitchen-related issues
  • Collaborate with management on promotions, seasonal menus, and events
