Job Responsibilities:
As the Head of the Data Engineering Business Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring that all client commitments are delivered with excellence, on time, and at scale. You’ll lead our delivery operations across multiple Accounts, projects and geographies, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive consistent quality, optimise capacity, and strengthen client trust. This is a critical leadership role at the intersection of operations, delivery, and people management—ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data and Engineering services and a passion for execution at scale.
As Head of Fulfilment, you will be responsible for a wide range of engagements listed below:
• Fulfilment Strategy: Define and execute the fulfilment strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability and operational excellence across engagements.
• Delivery Oversight: Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of data engineering and analytics engagements—from onboarding through successful deployment and transition.
• Capacity Planning & Allocation: Forecast and plan talent availability and deployment to maximize utilization, match capability with demand, and manage bench effectively.
• Quality & SLA Governance: Ensure projects meet defined quality benchmarks and service level agreements (SLAs), proactively resolving delivery risks or client escalations.
• Operational Rigor: Build and refine processes, playbook, and systems for managing fulfilment across teams, tools, and technologies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Executive Leaders, delivery managers, project leads, and fulfilment operations staff; drive performance, engagement, and professional growth.
• Client Partnership: Serve as a strategic point of contact for delivery health across key accounts; strengthen client relationships through reliable execution and have strong customer relationships influencing CSAT and Growth.
• Metrics & Reporting: Define and track KPIs related to fulfilment performance (e.g., on-time delivery, NPS, utilization, quality, escalations); report regularly to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications:
• 18+ years of experience in delivery management, operations, or fulfilment—ideally in a data engineering, analytics, or consulting environment.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional Data Engineering delivery teams across multiple clients and geographies.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, cloud platforms, analytics, and software development lifecycles.
• Demonstrated expertise in workforce management, resource planning, and process optimization. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights and drive improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Exposure to enterprise clients across industries such as Pharma, CPG, BFSI, or Retail.
