Senior Manager – DTC, eCommerce

Summary of the role:

Direct-to-consumer (DTC) lead is responsible for owning and driving DTC ecommerce strategy, execution and

performance across Brand.com website & App and third-party Marketplaces, possessing a complete

understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business. Establish the brand as a leader in

the ecommerce space by growing revenue, optimizing consumer experience, and enhancing the UI & UX on

the Website and Mobile App.

About the role:

Strategy:

• Develop annual consumers sales strategies for growth based on overall channel goals and objectives.

• Own the P&L, ensuring profitability and alignment with overall business growth.

• Deliver best-in-class consumer experience for brand Website & Mobile App in liaison with the digital

product managers. Ensure a smooth and user-friendly website experience, including navigation,

search functionality, and checkout process.

Consumer Experience:

• Lead website and app UI/UX enhancement, ensuring optimal navigation, search functionality,

checkout process, etc.

• Partner with data science and product tech team on new features, program solutions and

performance metrics based on consumer journey to identify opportunities and optimize efforts.

• Create a pricing framework to drive sales & profitability.

• Track & improve CSAT & NPS through exceptional consumer experiences.

• Continuously assess and improve the user experience by conducting user testing, A/B testing, and

gathering customer feedback.

• Optimize sorting, search & recommendations – through an in-depth data analysis and consumer

behavior to keep the search and recommendations results most relevant for consumers.

Marketing:

• Perform in-depth data analysis to form and deliver actionable recommendations to Marketing Team

for both short- and long-term campaign strategies and consumer engagement recommendations.

• Work with the marketing team to identify the best RoI initiatives to optimize SEM, SEO and Email

Marketing. Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.

• Create Monthly marketing, content & promotional calendar. Manage & execute promotional offers for

customers and track adoption, conversion.

Product & Catalog Management:

• Influence product assortment - seasonal trends for all categories, in-partnership with Brand

Merchant team, resulting in higher consideration and sales across BAU/ Events

• Lead the creation and optimization of product content, including PDP, A+ content and product

images

• Perform regular audit of product catalogs to ensure accuracy, and relevancy.

• Drive better conversion through an enhanced catalogue & content - own catalogue (photoshoot,

videos) & content creation.

Operations:

• Analyze website traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior to understand the impact of

ecommerce demand on the online shopping experience.

• Responsible for regular reporting on website performance and customer experience metricsoptimizing

site operations, identifying opportunities, and suggesting strategies to achieve sales

growth.

• Forge strategic alliances with banks, wallets, UPI platforms, couponing websites, affiliate sites etc. to

drive traffic to own eCommerce platform.

• Working closely with demand planning and warehousing teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment

and meeting the Fulfilment Centre’s SLAs.

• Monitor product inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure availability and

accurate product listings.

• Ensure on-time New Season Launch across e-commerce channels.

• Implement pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions to drive sales and optimize profitability

• Implement responsive design and mobile optimization for seamless browsing on various devices.

• Lead a team of engaged, competent and motivated individuals to deliver outlier results in terms of

business results and personal growth

About you:

• Management Graduate/Product Management/Digital Marketing

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in eCommerce

• Proven leadership experience in a Direct-to-consumer role with responsibility for online sales and

consumer experience

• Demonstrated success in managing P&L, and growing online revenue

• Knowledge of eCommerce operations, and merchandising

• Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools

• Knowledge of eCommerce promotion planning, Digital Marketing (SEO/SEM, Email, Social & Display

Media, Web & App Push, Affiliates, etc.), Website Optimization, and track Performance Marketing

metrics (CPC, CPM, ROAS, CTR, etc.), and Revenue per session.

• Strong analytical skills, well versed with MS office tools, Google Analytics, CRM, Shopify Platform,

check-out & App Engagement Tools

• Strategic digital expertise and influence to unlock greater value and impact for our

partners/business.

• Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis

• Proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and a proven

record of driving DTC & Wholesale growth.

• Ability to think both strategically and tactically and work in a fast-paced team environment.

• Build strong relationships with category teams at all ecommerce partners and cross functional

internal teams

• High competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business

documentation a must).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven experience in leading cross-functional projects
