Who are we looking for? You are a strategic, results-driven finance leader with a strong understanding of the Mexican regulatory and fiscal environment. You thrive in dynamic organizations and are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. This confidential leadership role is critical to the organization’s success and works closely with the CEO and executive team. You bring solid expertise in Mexican tax and regulatory compliance, including the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). As a trusted business partner, you provide timely, accurate financial insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. Activities and functions Financial Strategy & Planning Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives Partner with leadership to prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans Oversee cash flow planning, controls, and liquidity management Accounting & Reporting Lead accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance Deliver timely and reliable financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) Review VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and applicable local and municipal taxes Financial Analysis Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Provide actionable insights to optimize performance and resource allocation Business Partnership Support the General Manager and executive leadership in strategic initiatives Act as a trusted financial advisor across the organization Compliance, Taxes & Risk Management Ensure compliance with local financial, tax, and regulatory requirements Lead risk management and internal control initiatives Manage and oversee outsourced accounting and tax service providers Skills & Experience You Bring Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Master’s degree or MBA preferred Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development capabilities Deep knowledge of SAT, IMSS, and Mexican accounting and tax regulations Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills Strategic mindset with the ability to support commercial decision-making High attention to detail and strong quality standards Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus) Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented or startup environments CPA certification is a plus
