Looking for an experienced HR Leader with at least 15+ years of experience in any industry. Candidate having retail or manufacturing background is an added advantage. The ideal person would be the one having knowledge in Industrial relation, labour law, employee relations, union conflict management in a factory environment. Incumbent must be fluent in Kannada language
Roles & responsibilities:-
The Head of HR is a strategic and operational leader role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the human resources function within a manufacturing facility of the company unit. This role serves as a bridge between corporate strategy and shop-floor execution, ensuring that the Manufacturing unit is staffed by a skilled, engaged, and productive workforce. Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Industrial Relations
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the plant's production goals and corporate HR objectives.
- Maintain a healthy and harmonious Industrial Relations (IR) climate, acting as the primary point of contact for labour unions or worker committees. *Good knowledge of Labour Law is mandatory
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations and ensure prompt grievance redressal to prevent labor unrest.
- Talent Management & Acquisition
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment
- Design and execute onboarding programs that prioritize safety and culture.
- Identify skill gaps and lead Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives to upskill the workforce on new machinery or safety protocols.
- Compensation & Statutory Compliance and ensure Labour law compliances
- Manage payroll administration, attendance tracking, and incentive schemes.
- Oversee the management of contract labor, ensuring third-party vendors adhere to legal and ethical standards.
- Employee Engagement & Safety
- Drive a culture of safety (OHSAS) in collaboration with the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) department.
- Implement employee welfare programs to improve retention and morale on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications & Skills
| Education | MBA in HR, MSW, or Master’s in Industrial Relations/Personnel Management. | Legal Knowledge | Deep expertise in labor laws and union negotiation tactics.
