We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Access & External Engagement South-East Europe (SEE) Clusterto drive access strategies and stakeholder engagement across South-East Europe.

About the role

As the Head of Access & External Engagement South-East Europe (SEE) Cluster, you will lead the development and execution of patient access strategies for UCB’s product portfolio in the South-East Europe (SEE) cluster.

You’ll integrate global and European access strategies into local operations, represent UCB with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensure that patient access is maximized at compliant prices with minimal reimbursement restrictions.

Your leadership will empower the APEX (Access, Pricing & External Engagement) Team to deliver impactful results and foster strong networks with health authorities, payers, and patient groups.

Who you’ll work with

You will collaborate with the SEE area APEX team, the local and European leadership teams, and cross functional teams. As well as external partners including key opinion leaders, regulatory authorities, and patient advocacy groups. This role will report to General Manager SEE.

What will you do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the APEX (Access, Pricing & External Engagement) Team, to deliver on UCB’s Patient Value Strategy.
  • Design, localize, and operationalize patient access strategies and tactics.
  • Define and implement local strategies to maximize patient access and minimize reimbursement restrictions.
  • Integrate local market insights into area and EU planning.
  • Represent UCB in internal and external stakeholder governance.
  • Support the design of global and European access solutions as a subject matter expert.
  • Build and maintain high-quality, ethical relationships with health authorities and hospital stakeholders.
  • Manage patient access budgets and ensure compliance with local and global standards.
  • Contribute to pricing and reimbursement strategies, including innovative contracting models.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements and collaborate on safety‑related initiatives.
  • Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D., Law (J.D.), or Medical Degree (M.D.) in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as Greek, Romanian, or Bulgarian are preferred.
  • Strong background in economics, business administration, health policy, health systems, pricing and reimbursement, or health economics.
  • Strong people management experience, with a focus on coaching and team development.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to build networks internally and externally.
  • Experience in organizational and change management, business planning, and project management.
  • Business acumen and understanding of healthcare systems.
  • Strong ability in data analytics and data literacy.
