Job Position :  Head of AI Lead

Office Timing:   10 AM - 7.30 PM

Weekdays:  5 days

Location : Ahmedabad (Work from office)

CTC: 50-60 LPA

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of AI to lead our artificial intelligence strategy and execution. You will be responsible for shaping the roadmap, managing the AI/ML team, and embedding AI into our product suite to drive innovation, personalization, and automation. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical depth with product vision and team mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

· Define and own the AI strategy aligned with business goals.

· Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, NLP, Computer Vision) and identify use cases for value creation.

· Promote AI adoption across product lines and departments.

· Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to translate business needs into AI capabilities.

Technical Ownership

· Lead end-to-end development and deployment of ML models including supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, NLP, and LLM-based models.

· Architect scalable ML pipelines, model serving infrastructure, and MLOps practices.

· Oversee data pipelines, feature engineering, retraining strategies, and model monitoring.

· Implement frameworks for experimentation such as A/B testing and hypothesis validation.

Team Management

· Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and research engineers.

· Define hiring needs, participate in recruitment, and develop internal capability.

· Promote a culture of continuous learning, responsible AI, and cross-functional collaboration.

Governance & Risk

· Define responsible AI frameworks, including bias detection, explainability, and fairness.

· Ensure data security, compliance (e.g., GDPR), and auditability of AI systems.

· Manage budget, vendors, and tools related to AI initiatives.

Experience

· 10+ years in AI/ML roles with a strong software engineering background.

· 4+ years in team leadership, with proven delivery of AI-driven product features.

· Experience with GenAI, NLP (e.g., BERT, GPT), deep learning (CNNs, RNNs), recommender systems, etc.

Technical Stack

· Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, Scikit-learn

· SQL/NoSQL, Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker

· Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure ML stack
