Candidate is to understand LifeAsia application and should be able to enhance and support the application efficiently by doing a proper
impact analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhancement and maintenance of Core admin system
  • Work closely with other front-end system application team to ensure end-to-end software lifecycle is robust
  • Ensuring the Applications Management function is aligned with company strategy.
  • Define and document scope changes during the project life cycle.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand and suggest best & efficient solution to cater to business needs
  • Analyze problems and implement appropriate technical solutions
  • Prepare the technical specification, Maintain and document the changes, Conduct Unit/Integration testing
  • Complete the assignments within the agreed deadline
  • Quality analysis of the programs/system before acceptance testing
  • Work closely with Business Analyst to deliver a robust and error-free application systems
  • Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy
  • Technical review and quality analysis of the code done by junior members to ensure learning and motivation for subordinates

    • Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia application.
  • Experience in working with LifeAsia SOAP API’s
  • Provide a good quality level of SMART/400 based insurance applications.
  • Develops, customizes, enhances, maintains and supports Life/400, Life/Asia, Integral Life Insurance software application system

    • Key Attributes:

  • Strong analytical skill
  • Strong co-ordination skills required to liaise with counterparts within the Company.
  • Experience in conceptual and functional business process modeling.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus
  • Relationship management skills
  • Being able to communicate in fluent English

    • Knowledge/Skill: Data Query Language: SQL400 ❑ Database: DB2 ❑ Development: COBOL400, SMART400
