ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Title – Head of Assessment Practices

Location – Mumbai – HO

Role Reports To – CHRO

Purpose

Leads and develops a comprehensive institutional assessment program to support the Organization's mission and strategic business initiatives. Designs, directs, and supports TA and Talent Development program reviews and related activities that demonstrate institutional effectiveness.

As Head of Assessment Center, your Role & Responsibilities will include;

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic -
* Responsible for conceptualizing, enhancing and managing Assessment Center Practice to support people development & TA for Pidilite
* Ensure Assessment Center direction is in line with the organizational design and capability development strategy;
* Develop and implement the Assessment policies and procedure framework in conjunction with the Head of Talent Management

* Build assessments against existing  competency frameworks
* Provide input on budget requirements.

Functional -
* Establish guidelines for assessment frameworks, tools & processes;
* Develop the Assessment Matrix with competency levels and job families;
* Manage a team of internal assessors;
* When required, organize necessary training to up-skill existing assessors as well as to increase the pool of internal assessors;
* Keep abreast of new tools available and conduct market intelligence to benchmark against existing local and global best practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education -
* Graduate or Post Graduate Degree, in the field of Organisational Psychology;
* Certified Psychometric Assessor

Experience -
* Minimum 15 to 18 years' experience, with at least 5 years' experience in independently managing Assessment Centers;
* Experience in assessing senior leaders / executive cadre.

* Knowledge of institutional self-assessments and outcomes of assessment principles, methods and techniques.

Functional Skills -
* Proficient in English language;
* Good organizational and planning abilities;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to adapt and clearly communicate information to a wide range of audiences and situations.
* Effective coaching skills;
* Lead, develop and motivate teams , Strong knowledge of personnel practices, training theory, principles, and techniques

* Demonstrated ability interpreting, applying and communicating a variety of policies, procedures, and regulations

*Having worked with companies having well regarded HR practices.
