The Opportunity - Head of Credit, Cashalo
This is a rare opportunity to join our Cashalo Leadership Team as the Head of Credit. Cashalo, part of Tilt's global lending products, is a fintech startup building fast, accessible lending products for underserved communities in the Philippines.
As the Head of Credit, you'll report into the International Head of Credit and partner with the Cashalo GM, owning credit strategy for the region. You'll work closely with the Data Science team and leverage our decisioning frameworks to profitably accelerate our growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct project and people management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is driven by a passion for leveraging data and analytics to fuel business growth and improve customer financial well-being. This individual will lead teams and work streams that seek to understand consumer needs and behaviors and develop solutions to allow Tilt to resiliently offer the right products. The right candidate thrives on tackling complex challenges and is proficient in utilizing a wide range of technical tools to achieve impactful outcomes.
This role can be based in Manila, where we have an office or anywhere across APAC. Travel 4-6 times/year will be required.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Develop new credit policies for Tilt's business in the Philippines and drive analysis to uncover novel insights that move our business forward
- Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to influence and use models that solve business outcomes
- Build out frameworks, infrastructure, and controls to manage credit programs with high quality
- Work with Tilt's leadership team to build out strategy and growth plans while managing financial outcomes
- Partner with other credit and data science teams operating internationally and in the US to identify transferable learnings, strategies, and synergies and help implement them.
- Partner with leaders in product, engineering, marketing, and finance to ensure that the team's work fits within the larger picture
- Hire talented team to staff new projects as the business grows
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- 6+ years of industry experience in data analytics and credit risk management, ideally in comparable regions to the Philippines.
- Experience leading a team of analysts
- Candidate must be located in an APAC time zone
- Eagerness to learn new tools and analytical methods, staying up to date with innovative trends and new products in the industry
- Exceptionally strong problem solving and communication with the ability to both get in the weeds and communicate to an executive audience
