Head – Cyber Security Practice (Consulting & Delivery)

Role Purpose

The Head of Cyber Security Practice is responsible for building, scaling, and leading the organization’s external cyber security consulting and delivery business. This role owns client advisory, service portfolio, delivery excellence, talent development, and commercial outcomes for the cyber security practice.


Key Responsibilities

Practice & Business Leadership

  • Build and grow a profitable cyber security consulting and delivery practice
  • Define service offerings, value propositions, and go-to-market strategy
  • Partner with sales and leadership teams to support deal shaping, pre-sales, and large pursuits
  • Own practice P&L, margins, utilization, and growth targets


Client Advisory & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs, CISOs, and senior business leaders
  • Lead strategic client conversations on cyber risk, transformation, and resilience
  • Provide executive oversight for complex, multi-year cyber programs


Delivery & Quality

  • Ensure high-quality delivery across consulting, transformation, and managed services engagements
  • Establish delivery frameworks, playbooks, and reusable assets
  • Oversee risk management, governance, and escalation for client programs


Capability & Talent Development

  • Build and mentor senior cyber leaders, architects, and delivery managers
  • Define skill requirements, career paths, and certification strategies
  • Drive consistency, scalability, and maturity across global delivery teams


Market & Thought Leadership

  • Track evolving threats, regulations, and technology trends
  • Contribute to whitepapers, client POVs, and industry positioning
  • Represent the organization in client forums and industry engagements


Core Skills & Experience

Functional Skills

  • Strong client advisory and executive communication skills
  • Proven experience in building and scaling consulting practices
  • Program leadership across large, complex cyber engagements
  • Commercial acumen including estimation, pricing, and margin management
  • Talent leadership and practice capability building


Technical Expertise

  • Enterprise security architecture (cloud, hybrid, identity, Zero Trust)
  • Risk management, governance, and regulatory frameworks (ISO, NIST, SOC2, etc.)
  • Identity and Access Management
  • SOC, detection engineering, and incident response models
  • Cloud security, application security, data security
  • Awareness of emerging areas such as AI security


Experience & Background

  • 15+ years in cyber security, with significant experience in consulting or services organizations
  • Demonstrated leadership of external client-facing cyber programs
  • Wide technical knowledge in Cyber Security domains, and technical expertise in selected areas
  • Experience engaging with global clients and senior stakeholders
  • Prior Practice/ Consulting/ Client facing role experience is a must


Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
