As a market leader and trusted partner for central banks and the currency industry, G+D Currency Technology develops cutting-edge systems for banknote processing and digital cash management. As Head of DevSecOps (m/f/d) within R&D Software Solutions, you will lead a global team of 8 engineers in Munich and Gurugram (India), shaping and running a secure and scalable development infrastructure for our agile product development teams. Your strong technology background, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills in an intercultural environment, will be key to your success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed DevSecOps team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Infrastructure & Automation: Own and evolve our development infrastructure, tools, and CI/CD pipelines, with a strong focus on on-premise systems and strategic expansion into cloud environments
  • Product Delivery Support: Partner with agile product teams to enable efficient development and delivery of diverse solutions—ranging from embedded software for Banknote Processing Systems, to Enterprise Applications delivered to and run by our customers, and cloud-based SaaS offerings
  • DevSecOps Strategy: Define and implement our DevSecOps roadmap, embedding security and quality into every stage of the development lifecycle through automation and standardization
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Corporate Security and Corporate IT to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence
  • Culture & Coaching: Promote a DevSecOps mindset across the organization and support professional growth within your team

    • Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Several years of experience as a DevOps engineer and architect, with proven leadership in managing distributed teams and complex technology landscapes
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD automation, test automation integration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid infrastructures (on-premise & cloud, ideally Azure)
  • Hands-on experience integrating security into development and delivery processes
  • Strategic thinker with innovative strength, structured working style, and the ability to build trust across teams
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
