Head of Engineering

Oversee and manage the multidiscipline engineering activities related to Mechanical Equipment, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Piping and Process Engineering.

Planning, initiating, executing, and monitoring engineering with respect to time, cost and quality including technical (engineering) and techno-commercial coordination with all stakeholders.

Performing design review, 3D models review HAZOP, HAZID and SIL & other various studies during project detail engineering phase.

Establishing new procedures, modifying existing procedures to make them more cost and technically effective, and establishing various engineering processes and systems, including interactions among engineering disciplines, in order to attain engineering excellence

Ensuring to provide engineering and reliability technical assistance for all rotating equipment and associated systems, fixed equipment and piping systems, instrumentation and safety shutdown systems, and electrical power distribution systems.

Overlooking for organization’s manufacturing processes and procedures and also initiate, direct, through the efforts of the process engineering group all process activities to ensure optimum use of resources, equipment, materials, and facilities

Review CAPEX, OPEX and other stage gate documents for seeking top management approval for the Project engineering.

To Ensure execution of piping & plant Layout: execute basic design of all critical and non-critical piping systems; conducted detailed design and study of piping systems as per codes and standards entailing isometrics & pre-fabrication drawings, specification study, vendor selection & finalization, schedule for development, and final approval

Provide effective analysis and forecast the project engineering progress and establish procedures that ensures that the status of the project is known to team.

Support team to finalize layouts, and technical specifications for Hassle-free implementation of the project.

Ensure internal resources and third parties/Licensors/Vendors for the flawless execution of the project.

Suggest project team for appropriate action after Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan, if any.

Advise engineering & project team for better health, safety and environment plans, programs, and procedures and ensure compliance.

Contribute to developing of the project engineering strategy and procedures, engineering control systems, necessary course correction measures, and ensure the achievement of the same through regular review mechanism.

Advise actions to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks.

Oversee management of Change orders, concession requests and scopes etc

Organize and attend meetings with Top level management and Project controls.

Ensure Kick-Off Meetings with Licensor, DEC and various vendors and coordinating for deliverables are in place

Ensure follow up on the minutes of meeting.

Ensure effective management and communication between all the departments of Project, Engineering & Others

Resolving conflicts arising among various stakeholders.

Presenting project engineering status and various MIS to management and highlighting any potential risk and opportunity to management.
