Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our engineering and technical operations. The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and have over 15 years of progressive experience in general construction, including large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
This role involves overseeing the planning, design, execution, and quality control of construction projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, budget constraints, safety standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor the engineering team across all projects and departments.
Develop and implement engineering strategies, technical standards, and policies.
Oversee the design, technical review, and execution of all construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure engineering solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant.
Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Ensure all engineering work complies with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental laws.
Conduct technical assessments and risk evaluations on project feasibility and execution plans.
Participate in tendering, value engineering, and contract negotiations.
Approve technical documentation, project specifications, and design drawings.
Act as the main technical authority and advisor to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s degree or PMP is an advantage).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in general construction, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects in sectors such as infrastructure, residential, commercial, or industrial.
Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
High proficiency in engineering and project management software (AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
