Description
This person will fully own the codebase and technical roadmap, operate extremely hands-on, and partner closely with the founders to shape both the product and the business.

This is a builder-first role. You will write production code daily, make architectural decisions end-to-end, and help us move quickly from idea to shipped product. Over time, you’ll also act as a player-coach: setting technical standards, hiring thoughtfully, and raising the bar for a small, high-quality engineering team. If you’re excited by ownership, speed, and building AI-native products from first principles, this role is for you.
Requirements
What You’ll Own

+ Full technical ownership of the codebase, infrastructure, and engineering roadmap

+ Hands-on development, shipping production code daily while evolving system architecture

+ Technical decision-making across product, scalability, reliability, and security

+ AI-native product development, including LLMs, agents, copilots, and rapid experimentation

+ Founder-level partnership, working closely with us on product direction, tradeoffs, and execution

+ Hiring and mentorship, gradually building and leading a small, high-impact engineering team

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of engineering experience, primarily as an individual contributor

Proven ability to design, build, and own systems end-to-end

Writes production-quality code daily and enjoys doing so

Strong architectural instincts paired with pragmatic execution

AI-native mindset:

+ Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, copilots, or AI-enabled workflows

+ Comfortable iterating quickly, testing assumptions, and shipping improvements

Founder-level ownership and judgment:

+ You care deeply about outcomes, not just implementations

+ You make smart tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalability

Comfortable acting as a player-coach, mentoring others and hiring when the time is right
