Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of International Programs to lead the academic strategy and delivery of our dual-pathway international school, offering both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International (CAIE) curricula. This senior leadership role (Ho S level) provides strategic oversight from Primary through senior secondary, ensuring curriculum coherence, high academic standards, and strong global university outcomes. The successful candidate will harmonize IB inquiry-based learning with Cambridge academic rigor, guiding students and families in pathway selection toward IB Diploma or Cambridge AS/A Levels.
Reporting to: School Director
Supervises: PYP, IGCSE, DP/A Level Coordinators
Location: Bangalore
Depending on experience, the role may remain unified or be structured as separate Head of IB Programs and Head of Cambridge Programs positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a dual-pathway strategy positioning IB DP and Cambridge AS/A Levels for competitive global university entry
- Ensure continued authorization as an IB World School status through rigorous adherence to Standards and Practices.
- Oversee curriculum transitions (PYP β†’ Cambridge Lower Secondary β†’ IGCSE β†’ DP/A Levels)
- Guide IGCSE subject pathways to ensure breadth, balance, and future readiness
- Oversee IB core requirements (EE, TOK, CAS) and A-Level depth of study
- Serve as final academic quality controller for internal assessments and coursework
- Recruit, develop, retain and support high-quality IB and Cambridge faculty
- Serve as lead liaison with IBO and Cambridge Assessment International Education
- Act as a key ambassador to parents, clearly communicating curriculum choices and advantages

- 100% of graduates placed in Tier 1 and Tier 2 universities globally
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years in senior leadership in an international school setting
- Experience with IB and/or Cambridge curricula (strength in one pathway considered)
- IB Category 2 or 3 training preferred
- Exceptional public speaking and writing skills for diverse audiences.
- Data-informed decision-making skills
- Collaborative, culturally competent, and inspirational leader
- Proficiency with Manage Bac, Toddle, or similar academic management platforms
