The Company

This is a forward-thinking company focused on delivering large-scale Energy, renewable, and infrastructure projects around the world. With a strong track record and ambitious plans, they are helping drive the global energy transition. To support their growing project pipeline, they’re now looking for a General Counsel to join their Singapore office.

The Role

As General Counsel / Head of Legal, you will:

• Lead and grow the legal team as the company expands.
• Manage legal work across the full EPC project lifecycle – from Engineering, construction to operation.
• Advise leadership on project deals, contract negotiations, and company partnerships.
• Make sure the company meets legal requirements and manages risk across its activities.
• Review and draft key documents like EPC contracts, FIDIC, NDAs, and MoUs, JV and consortium agreements.
• Support due diligence and other legal work during project sales or acquisitions.
• Work closely with external legal teams and advisors in different countries.
• Be a trusted business partner and advisor to senior leadership.

The Person

The ideal candidate will likely have:

• Masters of Law
• 5-7 years’ experience as General Counsel, Head of Legal or Senior Legal Counsel with a focus on large-scale and complex infrastructure projects, especially in sectors like energy and oil & gas, EPC projects activities.
• Expertise in EPC, EPCI, contracts, and commercial law, with a strong understanding of legal and commercial risks, .
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and problem-solving complex contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage risk, lead contractual negotiations, and legal advice.
• Expertise in navigating the IPO process, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and inspire teams.
