The business is an instantly recognisable brand in its space leading its market across multiple categories. With several manufacturing sites, warehouses and additional third party logistics sites this business is a big name in FMCG undergoing a huge period of transformation and change. 

About the role

The Head of Logistics will hold control across Australia for all physical logistics covering in house warehousing, outsourced storage and third party transport. Covering a complex national network of sites you will be challenged to reduce cost to serve whilst ensuring all COR is met. You will be responsible for leading the businesses logistics through a period of transformation and change and will lead :

• Management of national logistics and warehousing (Sydney NDC) both in house and Third Party; ensuring clear expectations and reliable performance from partners whilst ensuring the chain of responsibility is adhered to
• Developing and implementing practical logistics, transport and warehousing solutions that improve how products are moved
• Providing day to day leadership, coaching and support to the warehousing and transport teams, helping build capability and effective ways of working
• Improving the efficiency of the network by optimising transport modes, invenotry holding and storag, routing, equipment use and freight frequency whilst aligning stock holdings and stock movements with business and customer needs
• Identifying and delivering cost to serve improvements and opportunities to reduce waste

About You

You are a driven and dynamic National Logistics Manager with a depth of expertise regards warehousing (RDC/ NDC activites), logistics and COR. Your remit has spanned both in house manufacturing sites and third party facilities across Australia within food, drinks or consumer goods manufacturing and distribution. Your practical experience of developing fit for purpose national logistics frameworks and leading transformational change across people and process will be complemented by a relevant Degree in a supply chain or business subject.
