Operational Head (Head of Operations)
Role Overview
The Operational Head will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end operational framework of Dealing.com, ensuring efficient day-to-day functioning across trading operations, client onboarding, payments, compliance coordination, vendor management, and internal controls.
This role is critical in scaling operations across regulated markets while maintaining high service standards, regulatory discipline, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Process Management
- Oversee daily operational activities including:
- Client onboarding & KYC coordination
- Trading & post-trade operations
- Payments, settlements, and reconciliations
- Client support operations (in coordination with CS teams)
- Design, document, and continuously improve SOPs across all operational functions.
- Ensure operational scalability to support growth in client base, products, and geographies.
2. Regulatory & Compliance Coordination
- Act as the primary operations liaison with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams.
- Ensure operational processes align with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions (e.g., CySEC, FSCA, FSC, etc., as applicable).
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and internal control reviews from an operational standpoint.
- Monitor operational risk and implement corrective actions.
3. Trading & Brokerage Operations Oversight
- Oversee operational interfaces with:
- Liquidity providers
- Trading platforms (MT4/MT5, proprietary platforms, OMS/PMS)
- Technology vendors
- Ensure seamless trade execution workflows, margin monitoring, corporate actions handling (if applicable), and exception management.
- Coordinate closely with dealing, risk, and treasury functions.
4. Payments, Treasury & Vendor Management
- Manage payment operations including PSPs, banks, wallets, and alternative payment methods.
- Oversee client fund flows, reconciliations, and operational controls around segregation of funds.
- Manage vendor relationships and SLAs (technology, operations, compliance, and outsourcing partners).
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
5. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
- Define KPIs, performance benchmarks, and accountability frameworks.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, compliance awareness, and continuous improvement.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Product, Tech, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.
6. Strategic & Scaling Initiatives
- Support management in launching new products, markets, and operational structures.
- Participate in strategic planning, capacity forecasting, and operational budgeting.
- Lead operational readiness for new licenses, entities, or regulatory expansions.
- Drive automation, digitization, and process optimization initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of brokerage / trading operations ( equities, derivatives, or multi-asset platforms).
- Hands-on experience with KYC, AML operations, payments, and post-trade processes .
- Ability to operate in a regulated, multi-jurisdiction environment .
- Strong process-driven mindset with excellent documentation skills.
- Proven leadership and people-management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- High attention to detail, control orientation, and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA / CA / CFA preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in operations within fintech, brokerage, trading, or financial services.
- Prior experience in a regulated broker or trading platform environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with global teams and outsourced operational setups is an advantage.
