Role Overview
Looking for seasoned Head – RMS (Risk Management Surveillance) to lead risk monitoring and surveillance across Equity and Commodity (MCX) broking segments. The ideal candidate is preferred from a traditional commodity broking house, with deep operational understanding of exchange processes and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong exposure to risk
monitoring, exchange surveillance, margin management, and settlement processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Risk Management Surveillance (RMS) function across Equity and MCX segments
• Monitor client and proprietary positions, margin utilization, and risk exposures across exchanges
• Ensure continuous trade and position surveillance to identify risk breaches, abnormal trading patterns, and exposure build-ups
• Oversee exchange reporting for Equity and Commodity exchanges, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage margin shortfall tracking, escalation, and corrective actions
• Oversee the settlement lifecycle, including pay-in / pay-out processes for both segments
• Define, implement, and enforce risk limits, exposure thresholds, and surveillance controls
• Handle risk escalations, defaults, and extreme market situations
• Work closely with Trading, Operations, Compliance, Treasury, and Technology teams
• Lead, mentor, and develop the RMS team
• Support exchange inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews
Candidate Requirements
Must-Have
• Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Economics, or related discipline (B. Com / BBA / equivalent)
• Preferred: CA / CFA / FRM / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification
• Additional certifications in Risk Management, Capital Markets, or Commodity Markets will be an advantage
Key Requirements
• 12–18 years of experience in Risk Management Surveillance / RMS
• Mandatory exposure to Equity and Commodity (MCX) broking segments
• Candidates preferred from traditional commodity broking houses experience
• Strong understanding of:
Margin computation and utilisation (Equity & MCX)
Exchange surveillance and reporting
Settlement processes (pay-in / pay-out)
• Strong understanding of exchange and regulatory risk frameworks
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure, regulated environment
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management
• Deep understanding of compliance and governance
