Design & Optimization Knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing welding procedures, techniques, and systems to ensure structural integrity and reliability of welded components. Process Review & Material Selection Ability to review and approve welding processes.Expertise in selecting appropriate welding consumables and materials for various applications, including carbon steels, stainless steels, and exotic alloys. Standards & Compliance Sound knowledge of national and international codes and standards governing welding processes and qualifications, such as ASME and AWS . Welding Techniques Proficiency in advanced welding techniques, including: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG )Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG )Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW ) Procedure Development Extensive experience in developing and qualifying: Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS )Procedure Qualification Records (PQR )Familiarity with various NDT techniques for weld inspection. Troubleshooting & Analysis Strong ability to troubleshoot welding defects and quality issues.Experience in conducting failure analysis and testing. Equipment & Costing Knowledge of welding equipment and ability to estimate the cost of welding processes. Collaboration Ability to work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure seamless integration of welding processes.
