Design & OptimizationKnowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing welding procedures, techniques, and systems to ensure structural integrity and reliability of welded components.Process Review & Material SelectionAbility to review and approve welding processes.Expertise in selecting appropriate welding consumables and materials for various applications, including carbon steels, stainless steels, and exotic alloys.Standards & ComplianceSound knowledge of national and international codes and standards governing welding processes and qualifications, such as ASME and AWS.Welding TechniquesProficiency in advanced welding techniques, including: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)Procedure DevelopmentExtensive experience in developing and qualifying: Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)Familiarity with various NDT techniques for weld inspection.Troubleshooting & AnalysisStrong ability to troubleshoot welding defects and quality issues.Experience in conducting failure analysis and testing.Equipment & CostingKnowledge of welding equipment and ability to estimate the cost of welding processes.CollaborationAbility to work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure seamless integration of welding processes.
