Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid CDL Class A or B License, demonstrating proven capability to operate commercial vehicles legally and safely.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement to ensure safe and lawful transport of hazardous substances as per legal requirements.
• Proficiency in air brake systems knowledge is essential for operating and maintaining vehicles effectively.
• Skilled in using GPS navigation systems to plan efficient driving routes, reducing time and fuel expenses.
• Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques to enhance road safety and prevent accidents.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations compliance to ensure adherence to transportation laws and policies.
• Competence in vehicle inspection procedures for regular maintenance and identification of operational faults.
• Experience in load securement techniques to ensure goods are safely and efficiently loaded for transport.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles for the transport of goods as per company and legal guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and report any issues.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines during operations.
• Maintain clear and precise logbooks, documenting hours, routes, and activity as per requirements.
• Load and secure goods in the vehicle, ensuring safe transport of materials to destinations.
• Plan and follow efficient driving routes using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills by communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders during deliveries.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to keep up-to-date with best practices in heavy vehicle operations.
