Job Description

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for completing related paperwork and accessing necessary databases to complete jobs accurately and timely. You will follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations while removing and installing parts, disassembling and assembling components, and testing and adjusting assemblies with the ability to self-monitor work quality. This role requires mastery-level knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software, and cranes and rigging equipment.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical repair knowledge in heavy equipment such as dozers and excavators.
• Experience with diesel engine repair, disassembling, and reassembling.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of database, internet, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
• General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, and components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a field vehicle.
• Completion of DOT physical may be required.
• MSHA certification and forklift/man lift certification may be necessary.
• Certification in air-conditioning.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or certificate in diesel technology or similar discipline is preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience as a diesel/automotive technician or mechanic, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Positions are available in both shop and field settings. Field positions require up to 40% travel and may involve on-call duties. Flexibility to work various schedules, including shift work and required overtime, is necessary.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $104000.00/yr.
