**Overview**
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Operator is responsible for performing diverse and complex duties requiring a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently and simultaneously.
This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.
**Responsibilities**
**Description of General Duties:**
Operates and maintains/repairs heavy equipment such as commercial trucks and trailers, cranes, clamshell buckets, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, all terrain forklifts, aerial boom lifts, bulldozers, rollers, and scrapers.
+ May read and interpret location and set grade and slope.
+ May fuel, grease, adjust, and make repairs to equipment.
+ Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, fabricates, rebuilds and maintains power equipment.
Operates heavy power construction equipment such as compressors, pumps, hoists, shovels, trucks, tractors, ...
